When we think we’re in the deep sleep of hibernation, storms are brewing beneath the surface.  Persephone longs to return to her mother.  As pomegranates explode and the white birds of Winter look on, the hunky young man-god rises from the icy thighs of the Underworld, and the turbulent waves of Winter crash into Spring.
